PU cast floor

The ultimate in living pleasure

This is a design cast floor that can be made in any RAL or Sikkens color. PU cast floors are produced by us in both uniform colors (PU Uni) and mixed colors (PU Mix). When you mix colors together, the floor gives the appearance of concrete, or a natural pattern. PU cast floors, for example, will have a more vibrant appearance. A more playful effect is often created in larger rooms, whereas in smaller rooms it can look a bit crowded, and one color (PU Uni) is more effective.

PU floors offer many benefits

A PU floor, or polyurethane floor, has the advantage that it is soft, which makes it very suitable for the use of a private home since it offers a greater degree of living comfort. There are also several advantages to using PU cast flooring, including:

  • Sleek appearance: The material gives the floor a very modern, sleek and roomy appearance, while remaining quiet as no seams are visible.
  • Easy maintenance: The PU cast floor is very easy to clean. The fact that it is hygienic and maintenance-free makes it a highly desirable floor.
  • Underfloor heating: There is no question that PU cast floors provide the perfect combination with underfloor heating.
  • Noise-reducing: the floor provides an effective sound-dampening effect. In case this is not sufficient, it is still possible to apply an additional damping layer afterwards in case it is needed.
  • Elastic: A PU cast floor is made of elastic material, preventing the flooring from tearing easily.
  • Waterproof: PU cast floors are completely waterproof.
  • A PU cast floor, however, is not completely scratch-resistant. A good idea for you if you are looking for a floor that will not scratch is to opt for an epoxy poured floor. In comparison with PU screed floors, epoxy screed floors are made from a harder material. For this reason, epoxy cast floors can be used for both industrial and commercial purposes, because of the strength and durability. There are a few more finishing options available to epoxy floors as well, such as, for example, the addition of glitter to the floor.

The application of PU cast floors on subfloors

The use of a PU cast floor can be very versatile, since it can be applied on a wide variety of subfloors, due to its flexible composition. It can be applied on either a concrete floor in a new-build house or a wooden floor that already exists in a home that is being renovated. There is no reason to worry about PU cast floors cracking easily, as the floor is composed of several thin layers, the floor will not suddenly rise a lot. Thresholds, skirting boards, etc. do not need to be adjusted accordingly.
