  • What colors do I have the option of choosing for my cast floor?

    All the colors of RAL and SIKKENS are available in our PU cast floors.There are a variety of colors available in mineral floors, but the effect will be different than the synthetic resin floors as the pigments are blended with cement. If you want to know more about the colors, feel free to ask.Colors can also be combined with one another, which will yield a certain pattern when they are combined.We can show you much more in our showroom in order to help you make a decision.

  • Would you mind telling me who installs our seamless wall or cast floor?

    In order to ensure the highest quality, only the best specialists work for The Liquid Collection. They must have a passion for the product and consider quality to be of paramount importance.   • How long will it take for us to be able to get back on our floor?

  • How hygienic is a cast floor?

  • Can I use a cast floor if my floor is not level?

    It is possible to install a cast floor if there is a slope of no more than 1 cm per linear meter. This can be accom-plished by applying a smoothing layer to the slope.

  • Can you tell me what the thickness of a cast floor is?

    The thickness of a cast floor is at least 2-3 mm and no more than 4-5 mm  

  • Is it possible for a cast floor to discolor?

    The cast floors we make are UV-resistant, meaning they do not discolor, and the color is stable.

  • Do you also repair existing resin floors that have been damaged?

    At The Liquid Collection we are able to repair or maintain all cast floors, regardless of whether the floors were installed by us or not. It is important to note, however, that the outcome of a repair does depend on the quality of the cast floor as well as the nature of the damage. Deep cracks or scratches may remain visible after the repair process.

  • What kind of surface must be present for a cast floor to be able to be applied?

    It is possible to apply cast floors to many different types of surfaces, such as tile floors, sand cement floors, fermacell, anhydrite and so on.It is of the utmost importance that the floor be flat and stable.

    It is sometimes necessary to prepare the floor prior to applying the cast floor in order to make it flat, and if this is required, we can handle it for you.

  • Is it possible to get scratches on the cast floor?

    Cast floors, in principle, are wear-resistant. However, any floor can be scratched, so it also depends more on the way you take care of your floor.   • What is the best way to maintain a cast floor?

    It can be said that a cast floor is nearly maintenance-free, which means that only vacuuming and mopping is required to maintain it. Upon purchasing a cast floor, we provide you with cleaning advice.There are some cleaning agents that are not compatible with cast floors.   • How far in advance do I have to order a cast floor?

    Are you already a customer of ours and have you received a quote from us? When this is approved by you, we will be able to include your home or project in our planning as soon as possible. Please do not wait too long with this request, our schedule is already quite full a few months in advance.

  • I would like to have a cast floor in my bathroom. Is that possible?

    There is no doubt that the bathroom is suitable for the installation of a cast floor. Besides being very beautiful and sleek, it also comes in seamless form, which makes it water resistant, hygienic, easy to clean, as well as low maintenance.

  • What is the difference between Epoxy flooring and Polyurethane (PU) cast flooring?

    Due to the fact that epoxy is harder than PU and is able to withstand heavy loads, it is ideal for use in com-mercial and industrial applications. Because this floor is harder, there will be a greater possibility that there will be cracks that require proper pre-treatment.It is more common for homeowners to install a Polyurethane (PU) cast floor in their homes than Epoxy floors, since PU is softer and more elastic.

  • What is the life expectancy of cast floors?

  • What is the procedure for requesting a quote?

  • Before the installation of a cast floor, how should the space be prepared?

    Our team will start its work on Monday or Tuesday, which will be communicated to you beforehand. You will be able to return to your floor the following

    Monday if everything goes according to plan. If this is not the case, we will inform you as soon as possible during our working week.

    It is IMPERATIVE if underfloor heating is present to follow a heating protocol, which is as follows:

    Day 1: 15ºC

    Day 2: 20ºC

    Day 3: 25ºC

    Day 4: 30ºC

    Day 5: 35ºC

    Day 6: 40ºC

    Day 7: 35ºC

    Day 8: 30ºC

    Day 9: 25ºC

    Day 10: 20ºC

    It is important to deliver the space in the following manner:

    - Space to be wind and waterproof

    - The underfloor heating must be turned OFF if we start on Monday

    - The room must be completely empty and free of any obstacles

    - Spaces must be delivered clean and ready to use

    - It is necessary to remove all the interior doors

    - A staircase must be present if there are multiple levels in the building

    - The skirtings are only installed after the cast floor has been applied- It is possible to finish the stairs only after the cast floor has been applied

    - There must be adequate lighting in the room

    - We are not responsible for the painting that may need to be done after the cast floor has been applied, so it is prudent that this is done after the pour.

    - The failure to follow these instructions will not allow us to do our job properly, and it might affect the warranty.

  • What about the keys to our home?

    We would like to have the keys to your home by the weekend before we begin our work, so we can begin the process right away.

    Upon completion of our work at your home, we will leave the keys in the building for you.

  • Can we place a doormat?

    Using aluminum profiles we can create a recess for a doormat, if that is what you want.

    The doormat needs to be marked on the floor as to where it will be placed. We will follow your measure-ments.

  • When we start using the floor, what are the things we have to keep in mind?

    - It is always advisable to be careful when moving heavy furniture or boxes, this could lead to scratches.

    - Make sure to place felt pads under your furniture and chairs.

    - Look out for hairspray on the floor as, due to a chemical reaction, it leaves stains on the surfa-ce.- Whenever you spill oil, red wine, or anything of the sort, you should try to remove it as quick-ly as possible in order to prevent it from staining.

    - You can clean the surface using a self-leveling cleaner or a mild green soap cleaner.- Use a soft brush when vacuuming.

    - In order to prevent rubber plasticizers from penetrating your screed floor, try to avoid rubber coming into contact with your floor as much as possible.

  • Could you tell me more about the color and the finish?

    In some cases, the color or finish of a product may vary from the color of the sample plate. Sample plates/samples are only indicative.
